The level of investor cash on the sidelines as shown in the above graph is as high as it was just before the 2008-2009 market decline that ended on March 9, 2009. It was that pile of cash and money market funds then that fueled the massive bull market that just ended. This new pile of cash awaiting a better home may fuel the next rise.
